Stamping 411- SSC200

Happy Easter everyone, I hope yours was as blessed as ours. Over at Stamping 411 they are having their 200th Saturday Sketch Challenge.....I think that is just positively wonderful.....and they have blog candy (so you may want to check them out).

All Supplies Used are from SU:
Stamp Set: Friends 24-7
DP: Elegant Soiree
CS: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Ribbon: 5/8" Grosgrain (I have forgotten the exact name- I believe it is a retired color though)
Punches: 1 3/8" & 1 1/4" Circle punches; Scallop Border Punch
Other: SU Watercolor Crayons & Blender Pen

(I must admit I did use the Timber Brown Stazon Ink instead of the Black as I wanted a softer/ more natural edge for the image)

Oh I almost forgot- The Easter Bunny ;)  Brought me 11 more Copics stuffed into the straps of a new pair of flip-flops...hehe (could a girl get any luckier?)

I have also posted this over on Splitcoast Stamper's site for the Creative Crew Challenge- CCREW0411CF.....for the watercoloring.

Well that's it for tonight and I wish you a very wonderful Monday....Thanks for stopping by,

Fast and Fabulous!

Hey there, hope you had a wonderful weekend.
I know we did full of family and laughter. Yesterday we went into Edmonton to take the kids to my nephew's 12 Th Birthday Party, followed by a family dinner to celebrate the 3 birthdays in our family that fall in the later part of March and the first 3 weeks in April. It was totally awesome (even my Husband's Grandfather enjoyed the food) - We went to the new Asian Village....which could have turned out terribly as we went there with Grandpa (who is 91 and still living in his own 100%) and 4 kids.

But anyways this is the card I made for my Mother-in-Law's Birthday.
I chose not to use a sentiment- she is an avid recycler so I made the card re-giftable (if she chose to do so). For the inside of the card I left it blank and added an insert with a sentiment and the birthday wishes on it; I put a small note on the backside saying "Please feel free to re-gift this card". I think she was very delighted and she loved the card (she's been known to do some stamping herself) :)

I got the theme from over at the Pals Paper Arts Blog -  PPA89 which was Flowers, which just fit the bill perfectly as Lil is also an avid gardener ;)

cardstock: Chocolate Chip & Whisper White - SU
dp: Elegant Soiree - SU
ribbon: also Stampin Up
ink: Memento (only because I was feeling too lazy to go downstairs to grab my SU inks)
other: Scalloped Edge Punch - SU

Thanks so much for stopping by and please stop by again soon :) Have a great week,

Jessie

Wicked Altered Lp Album....

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by. First off I have to say a Big Thank-you to Lena @ Simply Fabulous Blog Templates......I won a Pre-Made Blog from a draw she did over on her blog :) And I absolutely Love it.

I am fresh from a weekend crop here in Edson ...which was simply wonderful. While I was cropping I decided I would try my hand at altering a LP Album and its Cover, it was by far the funnest project I have made in a very long time. It took me quite a while to complete but I think the next time I go to Alter a LP it will go alot quicker. I had seen this idea on the Glitz Design blog or web site quite some time ago ...... so I found it quite fitting that I use their papers to start the project off. I did a whole lot of sanding and inking.... a little bit of stamping (even on the piece of wood that comes on the Cohiba Cigar Package). I also got a couple of the items from the Graphics Fairy Blog--> if you like antique items/ projects you should check out their site (they even have some blog templates). And I finished it off with a few items from Tim Holtz and a couple of chipboard keys from Bazzill. (the ribbon is just from my stash).

So I hope you enjoy it. I am going to post it over on the Glitz Blog for the Get Your Glitz On Challenge #1 a challenge they have going on right now.....you should hop on over there and take a look.

Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you have a good one.

Miss You A Latte

Hi again, I think I've been pretty productive this weekend :) It feels so awesome though. Anyways I was inspired to make this card because of the challenge sketch posted over at Splitcoast Stampers....My Favorite Things- WSC Getting Sketchy #13. I once again tried my hand at drawing my own background for the stamped image and well I think I've realized maybe I should take some drawing classes:)  E for Effort though....right? lol. I've gone ahead and posted this card over at iCopic Lover: iCopic Challenge #24- which was to create your own background using Copic Markers.

stamp: The ala modes in "Miss You A latte"
ink: Tuxedo Black- Memento; Copic Markers....sooo many this time :) + Multiliner
dsp: Scenic Route
cs: Bazzill; X-Press It
ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon (RRR)
other: button- Fancy Pants; embroidery thread- Bazzill

Take Care and I'll see you soon,

Hey Friend....

Thanks for stopping by :) Today I have a card I made for the Stamping 411: Saturday Sketch Challenge 197

The cardstock and designer paper as well as the little embellishments all came from Close to my Heart- Wings Kit; Stamp Set - Close to my Heart "Find Your Style". The Ribbon - SU; Black Stazon Ink;  I also used two types of Nestabilities and a Tim Holtz edge die.

I stamped the butterfly with Ranger's Perfect Medium and then rubbed Rust- Perfect Pearls into it. It gives the butterfly the most wonderful sheen. (I have had the perfect pearls forever and had never used them....I think I'll be using them lots after this card).

Have a wonderful day,

Jessie

Our Frienship....

Happy Saturday!

I stayed up late last night to finish this card - I had started coloring Scarlett the night before for the BFF Challenge over at Totally Stampalicious- but I got stumped on what to do for the layout and then it came to me to use the JUGS #78 Sketch Challenge. The proportions were just perfect. I also posted this card @ Bugaboo for their Anything Goes Challenge :) I went at about 10pm last night to check the mail hoping that my order of ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon would be in and guess what it was.....yippee :) Notice the pleated ribbon - yup it's from RRR and it is fabulous (as well as all the other ribbon I ordered- all of fantastic quality)! RRR also has a challenge this week Challenge #21 - Use Dies or Punches & Ribbon.

The stamp is from Totally Stampalicious - Bugaboo line. I colored it with my Copics and paired it with left over paper I had from the Be Mine line- Echo Park. The pleated ribbon is from RRR and I added a brad from SU.

Hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by,

Jessie

Decorated 9 Frame from KaiserCraft!

Hi everyone,

I decorated this 9 Frame from KaiserCraft a couple of months ago but really wanted to share it.

The frames are super easy to decorate and put together (I just used that red double sided super sticky tape). I started off by painting the frame (and I think my downfall may be painting...lol) and it looked a little bit streaky so to soften (flatten) the acrylic paint I simply sprayed it with the White Chalk Mist from Tattered Angels....which totally did the trick. The paper is from Echo Park, the "Cherish" is a wood cutout from Kaisercraft. I made two of the flowers out of coordinating paper. The third flower was made using Tulle from Glitz Designs and a button I found at an Antique store then I added a couple of the Maya Road Pins. To totally finish the project off I used some photos of my Sister and her Beautiful Family!

These frames are so awesome and they are a great idea to get all those small photos off of your fridge and onto your walls :)

Hope you like it and we'll see you soon:)
