Happy Monday X 2!!!

Happy Totally Stampalicious Monday J

we have a
Colour challenge for you-> Brown, Green and Yellow

This week I actually made two cards...which is strange for me especially with a colour challenge (they are the type of challenge I usually struggle with).

For my first card I used Funny Strollers......isn’t this one such a cute little sweet pea???

(I have used the sketch challenge from Ala Card Monkey)

And for my second card I used
Stella Peeker Darth Vader.....truly a lady after my own coffee addicted heart ;)

(I have used the sketch challenge from The Paper Players)

Have you checked out the new Thursday feature over at the
Totally Stampalicious Blog yet? The first edition is
The fabulous Stacy aka Twinshappy has made a tutorial up for making a round shaped card using...you guessed it No Dies!

Another bit of Fabulous News is that Stampalicious Scarlet is back by popular demand.......and this time she is for purchase....Woot!!!

So be sure to check out what the Totally Stampalicious Team has to offer up as eye candy this week and the Stampalicious Thursday feature the ladies have dreamt up for you.

I have entered these two challenges this week:

Rock a bye Baby

Rock a bye BabyJ

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend...I know I really enjoyed spending some much needed time with my Hubby and Kids- Kayla and I even got to get manicures and pedicures together.

- we want to see those Baby themed projects.

Here is another of the February New Releases- Funny Strollers

First I stamped my cute little image onto some Gina K cardstock and coloured it using my Copics (E44, E47, Y32, Y35, Y38, YG23, YG41, YG61, YG63, YG67, YR20, YR21, YR31, W0). I used SU cardstock, the patterned paper is Circa 1934 by Cosmo Cricket (an older line I had in my stash). Other than that I used some Deep Red Ribbon and some Black Rick Rack. I also used some nestabilities to make the card base as well as cut the circles.

I was inspired by the sketch challenge happening over at Ala Card Monkey this week (and I know I made a round card when it shows a rectangular card- but I just couldn't help myself)

and from a video tutorial on how to make a circular shaped card on
Jessica’s Blog *Can you Pixel This*

Be sure to check out all of the awesomeness the rest of the Design Team has in store for you.

Make it Cute!

This challenge we are pleased to be sponsored by Pink Cat Studio (which is a wonderful Canadian Company) * the winner will receive 5 free Digi Stamps of their choice*

All we ask is that your project be made predominately with/ from paper and of course it is always appreciated if you leave a link back to the Paper Crafting Journey Blog.

So, I total had a air-head week somehow and I did not get my card in on time so I am posting it with all of the entries for PCJ Challenge #3- Make it Cute.

I went ahead and used some un-inked rubber that I have had for quite some time (a total sin I know). I decided to use the  Cat Plate 1 - stamp set which you can find here at PCS!

I colored up this fun Kitty with E30, E33, R02, R46, R59, W0 and W1. I also used an Atyou Red Copic Spica Pen to add a bit of sparkle to her glasses. I used Tuxedo Black and Angel Pink Memento ink from Tsukineko.

I think it’s a simple but sweet card and I have always adored Melissa’s PCS Cats.

So be sure to head on over to the Paper CraftingChallenge Blog to take part in this uber fun challenge and your chance to win 5 wonderful digi stamps of your choice from Pink Cat Studio.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend,

Jessie

Happy Totally Stampalicious Monday J

This week over at Totally Stampalicious Monday we want to see some texture on your cards or projects - so some ideas would be embossing (either dry or heat), maybe add some fabric or ribbon or maybe just grunge stuff up a bit...have fun ;)

I have used Stella Peeker Another Drink for my card

I just wanted to keep it nice and simple so I used some fabulous BoBunny cardstock (double-dot) in two colors and for some more touchable fun I added a couple strips of felt border and added a nice large pearl brad.

Be sure to see all the fabulous creations the TS Design Team has done up for this simply fab challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by and take care,

Wrap it! Tie it! Ruffle it up!

I decided to ink up JJ Desperate Housewife for this super fun challenge.

I stamped JJ desperate Housewife with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then coloured her up using my Copic markers. I layered her onto a die cut piece of patterned paper from Crate Paper using 3D foam squares. Then I took my Crop-a-Dile and punched 3 small holes around the one corner and threaded 2 colors of Baker’s Twine through them. Then I just unravelled the edges (somewhat trying to mimic a dust bunny). I went ahead and stamped a polka dot background and then scuffed up the whole card face using the same Tim Holtz Distress Ink that I used to stamp the dots. Next, I went ahead and used Sookwang tape to adhere a strip of thick brown grosgrain ribbon and finished it off by adding a bow that I made using red grosgrain ribbon. I stamped this uber fun sentiment onto the card using Timber Brown Stazon Ink and adhered my image panel using more 3D foam squares. Then I simply trimmed the edge of the die cut piece so it would not hang over the edge of the card.

I really do get a kick out of JJ Desperate Housewife every time I ink her up...and the sentiments in this stamp set are all hilarious.

Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you again soon. Take Care,

Jessie

Fairies...Whimsical Fun!!!

Today over at the Paper Crafting Journey Blog the challenge is to use Fairies or Angels on your project.

And the wonderful sponsor for PCJ Challenge #2 is Emerald Fairies. They have the most delightful digi stamps.

I used Isla for my card and she’s just positively delightful to color and create with.

As soon as I seen Isla I envisioned her playing in long blades of grass just blowing with the breeze. I decided to try my coloring hand once again at creating a custom background.

I also went ahead and stamped the background paper so it had the same theme and I intentionally did not add a specific sentiment as I thought it would be a great card to send as a just because. I then went ahead and used a Creative Memories punch to punch 3 butterflies out of patterned paper (from Crate Paper). The background was stamped using a couple of stamp sets from SU and Tim Holtz Distress Inks and some Perfect Pearls. Please see the photo towards the end of the post for the list of Copic colors that I used.

Be sure to stop by my fellow design team member's blogs to see the sweet inspiration they have for you.

Be sure to join us over at the Paper Crafting Journey for this fun and whimsical challenge. Thanks so much for stopping by!
