It's a C-A-S Thing...

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.....I’m guessing that mine is fun at the moment-I am in Las Vegas with my Sister. (so you know I pre did this post...hehe)
For today’s challenge I used the new Occupation Bears stamp set.

I totally had my girlfriend in mind when I made this card...she decided to go to school about 3 years ago now....and I am so proud of the strength she possesses (and always has).

I have to admit I was a bit stumped when I found out we were having a Clean and Simple Challenge...I love layers and always have, and who doesn’t love tons of embellishments right???  But I totally lucked out as I had a magazine sitting on my desk (it’s a couple months old) and low and behold if my inspiration wasn’t right on the front cover...so I totally cased it (I like being honest..lol).

I coloured up this adorable nurse bear using my Copics and then I used an oval punch as a stencil to trace out the sentiment bubble and all I did was draw on a little point. Then I went ahead and cut it out by hand and ink the edges with Old Paper Distress Ink. I then went ahead and finished the card off by using 3D foam squares to pop up the image and the sentiment and finally I tied on a piece of white/ pink Baker’s Twine.....and voila C-A-S.

Be sure to check out what the other Totally Stampalicious Ladies have to share with you!!!

And join us over at the Totally Stampalicious Blog for this C-A-S Challenge!!! We’d love to see your creations!

I hope you all have a marvellous week and I’ll see you soon....Please wish me luck;) you know that shopping is hard work....hehe.

It's a Manly Thing!

Today we have a “Manly” challenge for you -> This one is for the Boys!!!

For this one I used the totally hilarious Gus Fishing …….. you can find Gus HERE

I got the inspiration for the layout from the Ala Card Monkey Challenge Blog & the tag panel from a challenge over at The Paper Players Blog

I stamped Gus using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto Gina K paper, then I colored him in with my Copics (sorry no list today). I used Bazzill cardstock for the card base and then used 2 papers from the Renaissance Faire Collection from Graphic 45 (yes this paper line works for men as well as ladies). I then added a strip of drywall tape J and added a small wooden ruler I picked up at a LSS. I then cut my image panel into the shape of a tag, punched a hole using mu Crop-a-dile and then added some thick thread that I picked up at an Antique store.

Check out the wonderful creations that the
have in store for you

Thanks so much for stopping by and I wish you all have a wonderful week,

Jessie

Along with the "Paper Crafting Journey"

Today  is my first post as a design team member for Paper Crafting Journey and I couldn't be more excited. This is definitely a very talented team of wonderful ladies.

                                    (stamps, flowers, floral patterned paper)

Sponsors for this challenge:
Ø  Sketching Stamper…….. with 4 free stamp sheets
Ø  Nicecrane Designs…….. with a $15.00 USD Gift Certificate

I went ahead and printed the girls onto Copic X-Press it paper and then colored them up with Copics (see below for a photo of the colors I used). I decided to do a 3-D project using all 3 girls as I just could not just 1. I used a Mini Vintage Ticket Holder from 7 Gypsies and I added elements from the Laced with Grace line from Glitz Designs. I used the small flowers from Prima and then I added a Button and Metal Charm from Tim Holtz. Then to finish it off I added a Butterfly that I painted with Liquid Pearls and a chain of beads from my stash.

There will be two winners for our Floral Challenge so be sure to play along with us J

Be sure to stop by my fellow design team member's blogs to see the sweet inspiration they have for you.

Totally Stampalicious Monday

Happy Monday…hope you all had a great weekend. I know mine was nice and relaxed.

This week at Totally Stampalicious Monday the challenge is………..

So I took the opportunity to use one of the fabulous January releases "Monkey Love".

I just adore these two images and I also like the versatility that the sentiments give you. I have used 4 of the sentiments on this card. I only wish I had a smaller heart punch so I could make the hearts inside look more like the candy Sweet Hearts.

And the fabulous sketch is from Ala Card Monkey

I used my Copics to color this Monkey up and I have paired him with a punched strip of co-coordinating paper that was punched out and then layered with some rick rack and some fabulous baker's twine. I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock using Momento Ink and tied it together with a mini 7 Gypsies key that I used alcohol inks on to change the color to white/beige instead of the original black that it was.

I hope you like it and join us over at

Happy 2nd Birthday Bugaboo!!!

Thank-you so much Jody Mackrell for all the wonderful images you have blessed us with.

The theme we have all used for this awesome Blog Hop is……. you guessed it
"Birthday!"

I have chosen to use Gus Fishing....you can find Gus Here

I think that Gus is always a classic and always hilarious. Our family is full of sport fisher-men and women. I actually fish all spring and summer long with my Husband in various Walleye Tournaments…..so naturally I am just totally drawn to this set.

I went ahead and colored good old Gus up with my Copics and went with a nice and clean design using the Journey Collection of papers from Autentique. The sponging has been done using Old Paper Distress Ink and I finished it all off by adding a sentiment from the Bubble Bath Scarlett set that is available over at

So I encourage you to participate in the Blog Hop and check out all of the wonderful and inspiring creations that both the Bugaboo Design Team and the Totally Stampalicious Design Team have created for this special Birthday Hop! And be sure to leave some love at every stop along the way as you will have a chance to win on every blog.......including mine J   Courtesy of Bugaboo Stamps

Make Mine Dirty...

Happy Monday everyone. I'm sure glad that our life here has returned to a regular routine. School, work….who knew I would be so grateful J

This week over at Totally Stampalicious Monday  it's a FUNny! Challenge

I chose to use StellaPeeker Another Drink …….she is just an absolute whoot!!!

And I think she would make anyone smile.

I colored her up using my Copics and finished off the image panel by sponging on some Distress Inks just to soften the look. I chose to go with a basic layout without a whole ton of embellishments, only a few pearls and a bit of ribbon (that I colored with my Copics so it would match perfectly)…..I think it just makes Stella shine more.

So stop on over at the Totally Stampalicious blog to play along in this super fun challenge

and to check out the

TotallyAwesome Dessert Special the ladies are having.

Take Care and Thanks a bunch for stopping by,
